I create story-driven dining experiences rooted in modern Indigenous Minnesotan cooking, shaped by my travels and grounded in strong culinary and pastry technique.

Cheyenne Broughton

I cook with a clear point of view: modern, personal, and deeply connected to Minnesota.

I’m a professional chef with expertise in both culinary and pastry arts, and I’ve spent much of my 15-year career traveling, learning, and refining my craft. I graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, where I built a deep respect for technique and culinary artistry.

My voice in food is rooted in modern Indigenous Minnesotan cuisine—shaped by my identity as a White Native Minnesotan with Scandinavian, German, and Indigenous heritage. I believe every chef must find their own voice, and I let my menus tell a story that is uniquely mine and connected to Minnesota.

What you can expect when you dine with me

I cook as a daily ritual

Cooking is everything to me—my daily ritual, my creative outlet, and my way of bringing joy to others. It’s where I find peace, and I bring that intention to every course I serve.

I built my craft through life, training, and mentorship

I learned to cook in my childhood home alongside my late father, and I’ve continued to sharpen my skills through years of professional work and travel. More recently, I credit my mentor, Chef Shane Oporto, for refining my technique and shaping how I think about food.

I lead with story and purpose

My philosophy is simple: I draw from a deep well of knowledge, I stay curious about food in all its forms, and I use flavor and technique to tell a story. When I design a menu, I want it to feel personal, intentional, and memorable.
